WINTHROP – David Kenneth Jacobs, 18, of Winthrop, the son of Merton Alan and Suzanne (Laverdiere) Jacobs, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 16, at his home.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 5, 1987. He was educated in Winthrop schools, graduating in 2005 from Winthrop High School.

David loved trains, participating in Special Olympics and attending the Pine Tree Camp.

David will be deeply missed by his parents of Winthrop; his brother, Michael of Portland, Ore.; his sister, Heidi Baird and her husband, Gene, of Fort Lewis, Wash.; a niece, Azarie Smith of Maine; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
