GREENVILLE, R.I. – Conrad A. Gould, 90, of Orchard Avenue in Smithfield, R.I., and formerly of Avon, Maine, died Saturday, July 15, at Cortland Place. He was the husband of Ethel Berry Gould.

He was the son of the late Charles and Anna (McKenzie) Gould. He lived in Maine prior to moving to Smithfield seven weeks ago.

He was a sheriff with the town of Phillips. He owned and operated the Phillips Water Co., Gould Lumber Co. and the Lindbergh Airport. He was a member of the Sandy River Flying Club and former member of the National Guard.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his stepchildren, Patricia F. Doyle of Greenville, R.I., and Raymond J. Almond of Cooper City, Fla., nine step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Alden and Emery Gould.
