LEWISTON – Clifton S. Blodgett, 72, of Pittston died at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center on June 16.
He was born in Pittston, on May 17, 1934, the son of H. Ellsworth and Mildred (Stewart) Blodgett. He married Norma (Tootie) Meserve on Aug. 17, 1956.
He retired as a dispatcher for W.S. Williams Concrete in 1999. Throughout his life, he worked as a woodsman, truck driver and butcher. He enjoyed the outdoors, making maple syrup in the spring, fishing and hunting. He was a wonderful storyteller and could always make his friends and loved ones laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Tootie of Pittston; one son, Jeffrey and his wife, Brenda, of Pittston; one daughter, Kimberly Pettengill and her husband, Brody, of Leeds; five grandsons, Matthew Blodgett and his wife, Ivy, of Randolph, Kenneth and Karen Dostie of Augusta, Christopher of San Diego, Calif., Travis Pettengill and his wife, Kathy, of Oakland and Trevor of Leeds.
The family would like to thank the nurse and staff of C3 at St. Mary’s, the infusion center and ICU for their care and kindness to Clifton and his family during his illness.
