PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Virginia C. Lary, 82, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away June 9.

She was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Livermore and moved to this area in 1968 from Norway. She retired as a secretary at Riverside Oaks Park in Punta Gorda. She was an avid card and bingo player and loved birds and animals.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Brackett of South Paris; stepdaughters, Naomi Lary of West Paris and Carlene Alley-Knowlton of Yarmouth; sisters, Rosella Walker, Arlene Farwell and Nancy Winslow, all of Norway and Terry Bennett of Punta Gorda, Fla.; brother, Conrad Dan of Auburn; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
