LIVERMORE – Ronald H. Buck, 66, a resident of Avon, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 7, in Livermore after a year-long illness.
He was born in Farmington on Aug. 19, 1939, the son of John and Mildred (McMullen) Buck. He was a graduate of Phillips High School. On Aug. 14, 1962, he married Virginia I. Stevens of Wilton.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his time with his family and friends. Ron had worked for Forster Manufacturing Co. for many years and was also a volunteer firefighter for the town of Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years of Avon; a daughter, Sherry Buck and her companion, Ronald Cabe, of Strong; a son, Richard Buck of Skowhegan; two sisters, Roberta Gerrish and her husband, Ward, of Illinois and Adele Thorndike and her husband, Robert, of Phillips; five grandchildren, Jaimi Buck, Rose Welch, Tammy Buck, Ronal Cabe and Katie Cabe; and many nieces and nephews.
