JAY- A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors was held Monday, June 5, for Elie R. Duguay at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, with prayers preceding the Mass at Finley Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Roger Chabot. Hymns were sung by the Resurrection Choir accompanied by Therese Therrien. Readings were done by Amy Pineau, who also shared special memories of her grandfather. Military members were represented by the VFW, Frank L. Mitchell Post 3335 of Jay, American Legion, George Bunten Post 10 of Livermore Falls and Sons of AmVets Squadron 33 of Jay, who included Capt. Richard Dupont, David Smith, Robert Welch, Richard Moreau, Joe Groomes, Cleon Cook, Harvey Sabin, Francis Therrien, Roland Therrien, Erlon Rose and Normand Chabot. Pallbearers were Nathan Pineau, Ryan Richard, Peter Dumas, Dan Gould, Brandon Gould and Mark Quinn. Flag was presented to the family by Don LeSuer. Taps were played by Greg McDonald. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.
