Lewiston – A mass of christian burial was held Friday, June 2, for Joseph Leo Gerard Metayer at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul after prayers at the Pinette Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Lariviere celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. A funeral honors detail from Pease Air Force Base presented our nation’s flag to Connie Leeman, Gerry’s sister, for his service to our country. A reception followed at the home of Louise Gagne.
