CANAAN, Maine (AP) – Maine police say an Augusta man faces multiple charges following a violent, drunken rampage.

Police say 23-year-old Gary Davis has been charged with domestic violence assault, criminal trespass, resisting arrest and others.

Police said on Sunday night, Davis’s girlfriend arrived home to find that Davis had destroyed some of her computer equipment and punched a hole in a wall. Police said Davis grabbed the woman and pinned her down. Eventually, she locked the door behind him. Police said a friend of the victim who tried to help was punched in the face.

The Bangor Daily News reports after his arrest, police said Davis smashed his head against a window and a computer stand in a police cruiser.
