SCOTTSVILLE, Va. – Dorothy Celestine (Westcott) Talbott, 81, of Scottsville, Va., formerly of Jay, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 16, after her valiant battle with Alzheimer’s disease ended.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, 1st Sgt. (Ret.) Robert Lee Talbott of 745 Albevanna Spring Road, Scottsville, Va.; her three daughters and one son, Elizabeth M. (Bonnie) Santos and her husband, Bud and their son, Benjamin of West Minot, Virginia Lee Waryas of Burlington, Vt., and her son, Victor of New Hampshire and her two daughters, Marieclaude of Utah and Starr of New Hampshire, Annemarie and her partner, Susie Burchfield of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and by her son, Robert Lee Talbott Jr. and his wife, Shelia of Scottsville, Va. and their five children, David, Robbie, Chris, Colleen and Robert Lee Talbott III and their foster son, PFC Shawn Shreves, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas; her two brothers, James and Joseph Westcott of Massachusetts; four sisters-in-law; many loving nieces and nephews; three cousins; and her friends, John Coolidge of Livermore and Louise Gray of Scottsville, Va.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Elizabeth (Lynch) Westcott; five of her seven brothers; her three sisters; and her friend, Darlene Grimaldi Nelson of Jay.
