LEWISTON – Ruth Cantin, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 15.

She was born to the late Charles and Esther Foss on Dover-Foxcroft.

She was educated in the Dover-Foxcroft public schools as well as at home. She graduated from Bangor College of Cosmetology.

She was known as “Mimmie” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They so enjoyed eating her homemade “Mimmie Bread” and “Mimmie Muffins.”

She was a great prayer warrior and loved to share her faith with everyone. She faithfully attended church at the First Assembly of God in Lewiston, where she was an active member. She was a great cook and enjoyed her flower gardens.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Phil; daughter, Marilyn; three grandchildren, Cathy, Sarah Mae, Andrew and his wife Janet; five great-grandchildren, Whitney, Courtney, Makenzie, Jillian, Emma Rose; a brother, Charles Jr.; and son-in-law, Rodney.

She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers; three sisters; a son-in-law, Al; a son, Lawrence; and a daughter, Dianne.
