TOPSHAM – Francis Collins, 73, of Brunswick, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Amenity Manor, Topsham.
He was born May 8, 1932, in Farmington, a son of Hayden Ross and Florence Burrell. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Collins lived in the Lisbon area for over 40 years.
He was a World War II enthusiast and loved old movies. He enjoyed playing chess and cribbage, reading, watching stock car racing and building wooden model bi-planes.
He is survived by two sons, Francis Collins Jr. of Chicago, Ill. and Stuart Collins and his wife, Victoria, of Marlboro, Mass.; four daughters, Deborah Williams and her husband, Ralph, of Topsham, Doreen Walters and her husband, Ed, of Lisbon Falls, Diane Morse and her husband, Kenneth, of Brunswick and Darlene Hall of Auburn; two brothers, Thorton Collins and Loyd Taylor, both of Farmington; a sister, Vertie Gray of Farmington Falls; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Collins was predeceased by two sisters, Mertie Collins and Barbara Collins.
