AUBURN – Robert E. Burnell, 76, of 135 Oxford St., died Friday, Jan. 27, at an Auburn hospice, after a long illness.

He was born Feb. 16, 1929, son of Francis Burnell and Gladys Ida Burnell of Bath. “Little Robby,” as he was known, loved taking long walks across the New Auburn bridge and loved his cat “Baby.”

He was well-known in the “Little Canada” area, where he was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Beverly Williams, of Lewiston.
