SOUTH PARIS – Annie Pinto, 76, of High Street, South Paris, died Friday, Jan. 13, at the South Paris Veterans Home.
She was born on Aug. 25, 1929 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Sherwin) Crooks. She was educated in Northern Ireland schools.
Shortly after World War II, Annie met and married her late husband, John D. Pinto.
They moved to New York and lived in Bellerose Long Island for 45 years.
Annie was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She moved to South Paris four years ago, and her husband died in March of 2005.
She is survived by a son John D. Pinto Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Paris Hill; two daughters, Alice Power and her husband, Joseph, Patti Pinto, all from Florel Park Long Island, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
