AUBURN – Lezianne G. Caron, 86, formerly of 63 Old Carriage Road, Auburn, died Friday, Jan. 13, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin with her family by her side after a long illness.

She was born in St. Quentin, New Brunswick, Canada, on Oct. 8, 1919, the daughter of Henry and Alexina (Lepage) Guerrette. She was educated in Lewiston schools and had been a resident of this community all her life.

On May 28, 1938, she married Laurier W. Caron, who died on Sept. 19, 1993.

Lezianne and her husband owned and operated Larry’s Variety Store for more than 20 years before retiring in 1976.

She was a member of the Patronesses of St. Mary’s R.M.C., Les Marchande de Bonheures, Horizon 55, The Covenant 50, Lewiston Senior Citizens and St. Peter and Paul Parish.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, entertaining friends, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Gregoire and her husband, Donald, of Lewiston; one son, Ronald Caron and his wife, Elaine, of Auburn, N.H.; four grandchildren, Karen Gregoire-Hazzard and Thomas McPhedran of Readfield, Wanda Gregoire-Reneau and her husband, Steve, of Leeds, Steve Gregoire and his wife, Donna, of Lewiston, and John James Caron of Hillsboro, N.H.; five great-grandchildren, Zachary Reneau, Spencer Hazzard, Sydney Hazzard, Kyle Gregoire and Alesha Gregoire; three sisters, Lucienne Tardif and her husband, Jack, of Lewiston, Rolande Blouin of Lewiston and Joline Morton and her husband, Robert, of Springhill, Fla.; one brother, Robert Guerrette and his wife, Claudette, of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Fernande Nadeau and Yvette Bernier; and one brother, Lucien Guerrette.
