LEWISTON – Roland A. Rodrigue, 84, of Main Street, Auburn, died Saturday evening at d’Youville Pavilion where he had been a patient for six weeks.
He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 4, 1921, the son of Raymond and Diana (Valle) Rodrigue. He attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School. He also graduated from Bliss College.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Upon his discharge, he was a distribution clerk, skilled in outgoing mail processing for the Post Office Department’s Auburn post office. At one time, he was a landlord with more than 100 apartment units in Auburn.
He is survived by many cousins, and his good friends, Jean-Robert Maheu and Larry and Wanda McElmurry.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Theresa A. Rodrigue and Colombia Bolduc.
