FARMINGTON – Public memorial services for Theodore “Ted” Diethrich of Strong were held on Monday, Oct. 17, at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, with Rhonda Wiles-Rosell as celebrant. Full military honors were provided in the afternoon at the new Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, by members of the Lane-Dube AMVETS Post 33 and the Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335 of Jay, under the command of Dick Therrien. Firing squad members were Richard Dupont, Raoul LaPlante, Wayne Parker, Nere Simoneau, David O. Smith, Wayne Supiel and Joe Grooms. Honor guard members were Harvey Sabin, Wally Tripp, Paul Fortier, Greg MacDonald and Gerard Richard. Dick Therrien was in charge of “Taps” and the flag was presented by Don LeSuer.
