RUMFORD — Recently selected for the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, Kyron Hobdy will headline Maine Event Comedy at 49 Frankin’s Mystic Theater at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 18.
The show will also feature Dan Gilbert, Liam McGurk and host Mark Turcotte.
Hobdy has performed at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, and Nick’s Comedy Stop’ in Boston. He’s a regular opener for Maine comedy legend Bob Marley and was a finalist in the Funniest Comic in New England Contest at Mohegan Sun.
Gilbert hails from New Hampshire and has opened for nationally touring comedians Dan Soder, Myq Kaplan and Ben Kronberg. He was also a part of the 2016 and 2017 Salem Comedy Festivals.
McGurk is one of Boston’s fastest rising stars. He’s performed at the Comedy Studio, Laugh Boston and Giggles Comedy Club.
Turcotte was selected for the Boston, Cleveland and North Carolina comedy festivals and will soon make his national television debut on AXS TV’s ‘Gotham Comedy Live.’
The Mystic Theater is at 49 Franklin St. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. for seating and social; show starts at 8 p.m.
