LEWISTON — Geiger recently presented its quarterly Geiger Star Awards to associates nominated by fellow associates in recognition of their efforts to fulfill the values of “The Geiger Way.”
The associates, by practicing the principles of continuous improvement, embrace fresh and innovative ways to add value to customers and positively contribute to the company’s business. This quarter, Geiger Star Awards were presented to:
* Graphic designer Alan Groudle, who joined Geiger’s catalog division, Crestline, in May 2010. He created a run/walk group to encourage associates to participate in a more active lifestyle.
* Regional service manager Tara Villanueva, who led the on-boarding process and training for two new teams, one in New England and one in Chicago, significantly improving the process of on-boarding new recruits.
* Administrative support specialists in office services Diane Doak and Joline Caron, who went above and beyond to create excellent standard work instructions for the new switchboard equipment.
The Geiger Star Awards are given in five classifications of accomplishment: customer satisfaction, process improvement, leadership, community service and business achievement.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
