LEWISTON – Armand L. Dallaire, 82, of Lewiston, died Saturday, Sept. 10, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.

Born in Lewiston on June 1, 1923, he was the son of Joseph and Yvonne (Blais) Dallaire. He was educated in Lewiston schools and had been a resident of this community all his life.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

On May 6, 1947, he married the former Lorenza Dubois, his wife for 58 years.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Northern Utilities as a sales manager.

He was a member of the 50/50 Club, VFW Lisbon Post, Holy Cross Church and past president of the Lewiston Kiwanis Club.

Besides his wife, Lorenza, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Constance) Bennett of Topsham, and Mrs. Claude (Gloria) Landry of Lewiston; two sons, Donald and his wife, Lorraine Dallaire, and Julien and his wife, Susan Dallaire, all of Lewiston; four sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Yvonne) Carville, Ms. Therese Morin, Mrs. Robert (Carmen) Cailler and Ms. Lorraine Gervais, all of Lewiston; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Onil Dallaire; and two sisters, Yvette Bissonnette and Grace Gauthier.
