RIDGELAND, S.C. — Ryan Lewis Ridley, “Double R,” 35, of Sarasota, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Ryan was born Oct. 24, 1981, in Lewiston.
Ryan was employed by SOMAT Trucking in Clearwater, Fla., and was the proud owner of Ryan Lewis Racing. Ryan graduated from Jay High School in Jay in 2000 and worked in the woods and trucking industries. He loved attending and participating in racing events at the DeSoto Speedway in Bradenton, Fla., Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine and NASCAR races on the East Coast. He loved fishing and was passionate about the Special Olympics of Maine.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Marianne Lange Cole, stepfather, Jay Cole and wife, Claritza, all of Sarasota, Fla.; father, Stanley Ridley; brothers, Patrick Ridley and John Cushman; sisters, Heidy Mullen, Carrie Richardson and Kassandra Deutch, all of Maine; grandfather, Roland Lange of Seattle, Wash.; aunts, Janet Lange Shields of Seattle, Wash., Katherine Lange Whitmore of Omaha, Neb., Dawn Bergeron and Dorene Crowley of Maine; uncle, Frederick (Rick) Lange of Sarasota; cousins, Desire and Kenyen Moore of Maine and Bradford Lange of Alaska; special friends, Isaac Berry, Mike Booker, Josh Barker, Jessica Parsons and Danielle Begin, all of Maine, Travis Kirby of Myakka City, Fla., and JR Rook of Bradenton, Fla.
