AUBURN — Marguerite L. Holbrook, 81, of Auburn died Friday, March 17, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
She was born Sept. 25, 1935, in Auburn, a daughter of Lawrence and Rose Hilt Weston. Marguerite was a volunteer for the American Heart Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo, dining out, spending time at the ocean and traveling to Florida. Marguerite ran a day care for many years.
Survivors include three sons, William Holbrook and wife, Jackie, of Greene, Lawrence Holbrook and wife, Cindi, of Auburn, Jonathan Holbrook of Lewiston; three daughters, Sandra Hiscock and husband, Carlton, of Turner, Judy Charest and husband, Richard, of Norway and Sally Pelton of Greene; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard H. Holbrook; sister, Ruth Woodworth; niece, Betty Mariner; and granddaughter, Bonnie Torsey.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bolster Heights for their attention to our mom’s needs over many years and also our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hospice House for their gentle kindness and superb care.
