AUBURN — Margaret Nichols, 94, of Auburn died Tuesday, March 21, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. She was born in Lewiston on March 10, 1923, the daughter of the late Louis and Etta (Kemp) Nichols. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1941.
Margaret worked for Bates College for almost 40 years, retiring as registrar. She loved Bates College and enjoyed her work. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed the simple thing in life. She was a very active member of the Auburn United Methodist Church, and the Woman’s Literary Union. She also volunteered for many years with Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice and for WCBB Channel 10.
She leaves her son, Jim Taylor, of Lewiston. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Nichols.
