WEST PARIS – Derwood C. Buck, 82, of West Paris, died Friday, Aug. 12, in Norway after a brief illness.

He was born in West Paris on June 25, 1923, the son of Chester T. and Bertha A. (Ridlon) Buck. He was educated in local schools and graduated from West Paris High School in 1942.

Derwood was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and had worked as a chief rate clerk for APA for many years in Massachusetts.

He is survived by one sister, Rosalie M. Buck of Boston; two special nieces, Dorothy Wing of Bryant Pond, and Patricia Gittins of Logan, Utah; as well as many other nieces and nephews.
