RUMFORD – Jane M. Richard, 95, said goodbye to this world Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Rumford Community Home. She was a resident of Rumford.

Born in Mexico, on Nov. 19, 1909, she was a daughter of Eli and Celina Richard Deroche. She attended Mexico schools.

She was a feisty, outspoken lady. She loved her children, and always did what she could to help her family and keep them near.

She was an excellent bowler and looked forward to Monday morning bowling with her daughter and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and also her good friend and neighbor of many years, Bertha Perry.

She was married to the late Adolph Richard.

Survivors include a son, Ernest and his wife, Donna, of Dixfield; a daughter, Jean “Midge” Cote and her husband, Leonard, of Rumford; a daughter-in-law, Norma Richard of Rumford; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Adolph; and two sons, Eugene and Bob.
