AUBURN – Funeral services for Mr. Putnam were held Monday at The Fortin Group Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Rev. Nancy Huntington officiated and committal was held at Hillman Cemetery in Livermore. Pallbearers were Brian, Barry, James and Clayton Putnam. Full military honors were provided by the Maine Air Corp Honor Guard as well as the VFW Post 3335 of Jay, Amvets Post 33 of Jay, American Legion Post 10 of Livermore Falls and Amvets Sons Post 33, under the direction of Dick Therrien. Honorary bearers were Michael Lartz, John Thomas and Richard Johnson, and Peter Polk was bugler. Firing squad consisted of Richard Dupont, Neree Simoneau, Raoul LaPlante, Roland Gagnon, Dick Moreau, Joe Grooms and Mike Wadworth. Honor guard members were Harvey Sabin, Norman Chabot, Adrien Legere, Greg MacDonald, Don LaSeur and Roland Therrien. Donald Simoneau served as chaplain.
