BRYAND POND – Sylvia Ann Tutko, 52, devoted wife, mother, sister and friend, of Bryant Pond, died Wednesday, July 12.
She was born in Norway, on March 10, 1953, the daughter of Archie F. and Irene (Estes) Damon, and was educated in Oxford Hills and Bethel schools.
She worked as a substitute teacher at Telstar High School for a short time and most recently worked as a cook at the Crossroads Diner in Bethel for the past eight years.
She loved to sew and crochet, as well as other crafts. She especially loved to cook.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Frank Tutko, of Bryant Pond; her father, Archie Damon of Florida; one son, Delwin C. Wilson III, of Portland; one daughter, Carolyn M. Hall of Rhode Island; four sisters, Janette Pierce of Bethel, Roxanne Berry of Newry, Sherry Damon of New York, and Ruby Wilson of Norway; and two God-children, Mark Bartlett and Kelly Myers, both of Bethel.
She was predeceased by her mother; one brother, Fenton E. Damon in 2001; and one son, Leon Wilson in 1977.
