AUBURN – Muriel Louise Lipham, 86, formerly of 48 North Hill Road, Buckfield, died Wednesday, July 6, at Schooner Estates, surrounded by her loving family, where she resided for the past year and six months.

Born in Teaneck, N.J., a daughter of John B. and Nina L. Dunn, she graduated from Ramsey High School in the Class of 1937.

She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She always enjoyed her community activity groups and spending time with her friends. She will be remembered for all her creative endeavors, which included quilting, cooking, knitting and home design.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harvey D. Lipham, of Auburn, whom she married in Mahwah, N.J., on June 30, 1940; a daughter, Dr. Dolores Moody of New York City; a son, Robert D. Lipham and his wife, Sheila, of Buckfield; six grandchildren, Erik Moody, Chris Moody, Dr. Jessica Lipham, Jessica Papineau, Kelly Lipham, Chelsea Lipham; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Papineau, Gabriella and Christopher Charles Moody; and siblings, Edith Cairns, Oliver Dunn, Donald Dunn, and Clinton Dunn.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister Ruth; and her brother Stanley.
