The Pennacook Art Center will be opening a new early evening show of art and music at 60 Lowell Street in Rumford. The lobby walls will be covered with artwork by local artists, some of which is newly completed.
The River Valley Growth Council and Pennacook cordially invite the public to a free reception in the Tech Center lobby on Thursday July 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. to meet the painters, photographers and computer artists who are exhibiting their work.
Light refreshments will be served and Justin Hamner will be making music as the artists mingle with guests as they enjoy the paintings and photographs, most of which will be for sale.
The exhibit is also available for viewing during the Technology Center’s
regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
