SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Sarah D. Rountree, 75, of Fulton, N.Y., died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Loretto in Syracuse, N.Y. She had been a resident of Fulton since 1989.

She received her master’s degree in elementary education from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.

She retired from Education Opportunity Center, having worked in both the Syracuse and Farmingdale areas. She had previously taught at Franklin Square.

Survivors include a daughter, Renee Rountree, of Davenport Center; two sons, Robert R. Rountree III of Rochester, and Scott Rountree of Hawaii; a sister, Ruth Porter of Lynbrook; and three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert R. Rountree Jr., who died in 1994.
