DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Outdoor Market is taking vendor applications.

The 2017 Committee has been meeting throughout the winter to make the 40th annual Market Day a success. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, on Main Street.

It will be a rain-or-shine event with a “block party” atmosphere. Booths will be lined up along the street selling all kinds of foods, handcrafted items, collectibles, raffle tickets, memorabilia and local products, such as maple syrup. Political parties will be present, along with groups raising money for local causes.

Booth spaces are approximately 15- by 10-foot and are available for $25. There are plenty of spaces for all who wish to participate.

Applications are available at the Dixfield Town Office or by calling 207-357-7007 or message the page on Facebook. Registration is open to all. Sign up early; spots fill up quickly.

Planning Committee members are Kristi Holmquist, Sue Arsenault, Katie Nolette, Donna Gilbert, Sonya Arsenault, Nancy Volkernick and Deb Morang. New people are welcome to join the committee to help with planning as well as with events the day of the market. If interested, call a committee member.

The next meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the Dixfield Ludden Library.
