PARIS — An Oxford woman charged with drunken driving after she hit a bicyclist early Wednesday morning on King Street in Oxford was released from jail on a bail bond, according to a clerk at Oxford County Superior Court.

Kerstin Thorne, 37, was released on bail Wednesday and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on Aug. 17, the clerk said.

Oxford Police Lt. Mike Ward said Thorne was charged with operating under the influence Wednesday after striking Anthony St. Ours, 28, of Oxford while he was riding his bicycle on King Street. He was wearing reflective clothing, the officer said.

Ward said St. Ours was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital with broken bones and a concussion, and that he remembered nothing about the accident.

According to an employee with Stephens Memorial Hospital, as of Thursday afternoon, St. Ours was not listed as a patient.
