NORWAY – Beverly Nadine Ahonen Estes passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, at Norway Health and Rehabilitation Center where due to illness, she had resided for the past few years.

Beverly was born in Houlton on June 23, 1936. She grew up in Bolsters Mills and graduated from Norway High School in 1955.

Through the years, Beverly worked in various offices, including the CETA office and SWOAM, and she also took computer classes during that time. She also did waitress work and ran a day care for many years. Bev enjoyed country music, word search puzzles, the ocean, old movies and NASCAR racing (especially her beloved No. 3), but her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.

Beverly is survived by her sister, Joyce Mitchell and her husband, Gene, of Bolsters Mills; her children, Charlene Allen and her husband, George, of Minot, Randy Estes of South Paris, Darlene Bertoni of Topsham, and Norman Estes of Topsham; her former daughter-in-law, Sherry Estes and her partner, Michael, of Oxford; her grandchildren, Bethany Ann Estes of Auburn, Mickey Green and his wife, Melissa, of West Paris, Deryk Estes and his partner, Lacie, of Sabattus, Russell Estes and his partner, Erin, of South Paris, and Shawn Allen of Minot; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Stevens and her husband, Kyle, Sophie Mae Green, Owen Estes, Gemma Estes and Julia Estes; as well as nieces and nephews.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Roselin Alward Ahonen and Ellis Ahonen; and her brother, Alan Ahonen.
