Waterford Board of Selectman

Waterford Town Office
Paving bids
What happened: Bids were opened from F. R. Carroll Inc. of Limerick and Bruce A. Manzer Inc. of Anson.
What it means: The board accepted Carroll’s bid Monday. However, Chairman Randy Lessard said Tuesday evening that the board met Tuesday to go over finances and the projects again, eliminating work on Mill Hill Road because of cost. That resulted in Manzer’s bid of about $82,000 being about $500 less than Carroll’s. Selectmen must vote again on the bids, Lessard said.
What’s next: Paving will be done on Blackguard, Plummer Hill and Hawk Mountain roads.
Tree-felling bids
What happened: Three companies offered to fell and clean up trees associated with paving work.
What it means: Barker Tree Service of Waterford had the lowest bid, $16,000, and was accepted. The others were Marston Tree Service of Naples for $20,000 and Q-Team of Naples for $24,000.
What’s next: The tree work will be done on Baker Hill along Mill Hill Road.
