LEWISTON — Museum L-A is expanding its hours of operation to accommodate the schedules of its local community.
Museum L-A’s mission is to connect generations, strengthen community, and foster creativity, discovery, and innovative thinking. It chronicles the history of work, industry and community in Lewiston and Auburn; serve as a community gathering place; creates learning experiences; and contributes to the civic, cultural, and economic revitalization of Lewiston-Auburn.
Executive Director Rachel Desgrossielliers said, “We have experienced an increase in the number of visitors to Museum L-A, including bus tours and large groups of people who are interested in touring our historical exhibits.”
The new hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Special tour requests and large group tours outside of those hours are available by appointment.
Museum L-A is located in the Bates Mill Complex, 35 Canal St.
