The Minot Historical Society will host a Civil War encampment from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at 493 Center Minot Hill Road, Minot. The event will show what life was like for a typical soldier in camp during the American Civil War. Reenactors will demonstrate common military drills, and the society’s home, an 1830s parsonage, will be open for tours. Those attending may pose for and purchase a tintype photo from AgNO3 labs.
