Wellness fair offered Aug. 5
PARIS — The town of Paris is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair in conjunction with the Open House and Touch-A-Truck Event at the Paris Fire Department, 137 Western Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.

Nature Club visiting Pemaquid Point
OXFORD — The Twin Town Nature Club will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, in the Oxford Walmart parking lot, south side near Route 26, and carpool to visit Pemaquid Point Light House in New Harbor.
Visitors are welcome. Those attending should bring a picnic lunch.

Finnish language classes offered
WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society will offer Finnish language classes.
Marja-Leena Bailey will lead classes at the society, 8 Maple St. Class dates are Saturdays, Sept. 16 and 30, Oct. 21 and Nov. 4. Beginner and refresher courses will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and advanced classes will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Cost is $50 for the beginner class and $100 for the advanced, and half price for the second family member. Checks should be made out to the Finnish American Heritage Society and mailed to P.O. Box 294, West Paris, ME 04289.
