LEWISTON — The Dutil family reunion was held July 14 to 16, with nine cousins and their families attending. This was the first time all nine were together. They are from California, Wisconsin, Texas, Georgia and Florida, with three cousins from Lewiston and Auburn. Close to 50 family members were present.
On Friday the family met at the home of Debra and Frank Robitaille in Leeds for food, games and a bonfire. On Saturday, they went to Pat Crowell’s house for a brunch and socializing until 4 p.m. when they traveled to American Legion Post 31 in Auburn for dinner and entertainment.
On Sunday the group attended the 10 a.m. Mass at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul. Several then went Veterans Park to check the names. The day continued at Crowell’s house with lunch, games, pool and socializing.
Seven of the cousins were born, raised and attended church and schools in Lewiston, while the two from Texas were raised in different states because their father was a 30-year Navy veteran.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
