FARMINGTON – Blanche E. Voter, 90, of Phillips, died early Monday afternoon, May 30, at Sandy River Center for Health Care and Rehabilitation where she had resided for the last three weeks.
She was born, Sept. 5, 1914, in Phillips, the daughter of Fred and Pansy (Hoar) Fairbanks. She received her education in Phillips schools and was married to Maxwell Voter. Mr. Voter died in 1996.
In addition to being a homemaker, she had been employed at the Strong Woodturning Mill.
She enjoyed gardening, watching her favorite afternoon “stories” and visiting with family and friends on her front porch.
She is survived by two nephews, Dale Fairbanks and his wife, Judy, of Allen’s Mills, and Owen James and his wife, JoAnn, of Madrid; a sister-in-law, Mae Fairbanks of Arizona; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her two sons, Clayton in 2004, and Stanley on May 27; a sister, Hazel James; and a brother, Kenneth Fairbanks.
