NORWAY — Alberta M. Jones, 91, of West Minot died Sunday, July 16, at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway with her family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 4, 1926, the daughter of Harold and Ruby Merrill Thorpe and graduated from Edward Little High School. She had been employed at Wilner’s, Hebron Academy, A.W. Walker and Webber Oil. On June 3, 1946, she married Leslie Jones, who died June 17, 2004.
Survivors include her son, Thomas and his wife, DeAnne, of Minot; two daughters, Jennifer Parsons of Mechanic Falls, and Sharon Castonguay and her husband, Dave, of Minot; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
