LEWISTON — New Ventures Maine is offering a free, two-hour self-employment workshop from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St.
The workshop is offered to help people decide if self-employment is the right choice. The class covers the pros and cons of owning a business, the steps needed for start-up, the major elements of a business plan, and the many resources available. The workshop will be led by Karleen Andrews, microenterprise specialist for the Western region of New Ventures Maine.
