JUPITER, Fla. – Rita Mary O’Neill, 83, of Jupiter, Fla., passed away Monday, May 2, at a local nursing home, following an extended illness.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1921, in New York, to the late Thomas Carey and the late Margaret Devine Carey. She resided in Riverdale, N.Y., for many years before moving to the Jupiter, Fla., area.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Jupiter, Fla., the Widow/Widowers Group at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, a member of the Jupiter Parks and Recreation Senior Citizens, several charity guilds, the Republican party, the Passionist’s Auxiliary, the Jupiter Indian Creek Community Group, the Super 60s and the Palm Beach Catholic Women’s Society.
Survivors include her sons, Richard W. (Elizabeth) O’Neill of Jupiter, Fla., Thomas E. (Roseanne) O’Neill of Newtown, Conn., Robert M. (Crystal) O’Neill of Jupiter, Fla., and Patrick H. (Patricia) O’Neill of Bryant Pond; her daughter, Rita C. (Kenneth) Suchy of Jupiter, Fla.; and her 14 loved grandchildren.
