Kristen Cloutier represents strong leadership for Lewiston and the City Council. In her time on the council, she has been a champion for finding solutions and works with citizens and leaders of other city departments to find a path forward on Lewiston’s toughest issues. That has included her efforts on pedestrian safety for school children and residents, chairing a committee on immigrant and refugee relations, addressing housing in Lewiston and providing leadership to the L-A public health committee.
Cloutier shows her leadership in and outside of the council chambers. She goes to community events and stays informed by rolling up her sleeves and joining in the work led by others.
She doesn’t look for credit. She looks for progress, and her actions reflect it.
I look forward to Kristen Cloutier’s next term on the Lewiston City Council.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
