SOUTH PARIS – Myra Mae Ripley, 88, of South Paris, died Wednesday, April 27.

She was born in North Windham on June 15, 1916, the daughter of Warren and Annie (Page) Cannell.

She was an avid reader and gardener, loved to watch birds and was a jealous Elvis fan.

She owned and operated, with her son Ralph, the Ripley’s Market in Norway for 13 years.

Her family was her life and she is survived by one son, Ralph, and his wife, Bonnie, of South Paris; three daughters, Carol Spizuoco of Cumberland, Donna Williams of Delaware, and Roberta Messenger of Farmington; one brother, William Cannell of Johnstown, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Ripley Sr., in 1961; one son, Robert in 2002; one grandson, Michael Ripley; her parents; two brothers, Warren and Arthur Cannell; and a sister, Agnes.
