CHINA VILLAGE – Julia “Julie” Cunningham Bumps, 83, died at her home Wednesday, April 20, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Troy, Aug. 3, 1921, to Hazel (Knowlton) and Harry Cunningham.
On Sept. 7, 1940, Julie married Donald H. Bumps of China.
She was a devoted mother, wife, and homemaker and was employed for a brief time at the Bean Shop in China Village. She also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star in China.
She is survived by her two sons, Dwane and his wife, Bobbi, of Hebron, and Sheldon and his wife, Dianne, of China; her sister, Viola Bumps of China; five grandchildren, Stephen Bumps of Greenwood, Scott Bumps and his wife, Brenda, of Hebron, Stephanie Brushwein and her husband, Glen, of Auburn, Randy Bumps and his wife, Mariah, of Minot, and Heather Bumps of Winthrop; and one great-granddaughter, Meagan Brushwein. Many extended family members and friends also survive her.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Hartley and Harry Jr., who died in infancy, Raymond and Paul; her sister, Thelma Barry; and her loving husband, Donald.
