PORTLAND – Doris M. Morse, 82, of Route 145, died Thursday, April 14, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Buxton, the daughter of Ernest L. and Mary E. Brackett Anderson. She attended Buxton Schools and worked in the Textile Mills.

Her life revolved around her family and friends. Her home was always a welcome place to all. She loved Mother Nature,’ the wild flowers and birds. She was a great cook and homemaker.

She loved soft music and crocheting. She also enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Burton Morse Jr.; two grandchildren, Gloria Pincoski of Springfield, Va., and Mark Foss of Portland; eight great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Jeff Morse of Brunswick, and Brad Morse of Winthrop, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Sally Ann Morse of Portland; brothers, Carl Anderson and Robert Anderson, both of Buxton; sisters, Berle Roberts of East Waterboro, and Shirley Walker of Hollis; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Wayne W. Foss, in 1994.
