AUBURN — Yvette R. Gousse, 99, formerly of Lincoln St., died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Odd Fellows Home in Auburn. She was born in Lewiston on May 19, 1918, a daughter of the late Ludger and Laura (Ouellette) Beaulieu. She was educated in local schools and worked for several years in local shoe shops.

Yvette was a member of the former St. Mary’s Church. All who knew her fell in love with Yvette; she was a proud and gentle lady. Her entire life was all about family and friends. She loved to cook and entertain.

Yvette is survived by her two sons, Donald Gousse and wife, Joyce, of Florida, and Daniel Gousse and wife, Diane, of Wales; six grandchildren, Sue, Mike, Jeff, Jason, Chris and Will; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; a special daughter Sandra Brunick; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lucien A. Gousse, in 1959; her two brothers, Roland and Roger Beaulieu; and her sister Carmen Morin.
