NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has announced its inaugural fundraising event, the Turkey Trot 4 Hope, a four-mile race or walk, to be held on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, in downtown Norway.

The event will bring families together on one of the most popular running days while raising funds to support people in the area facing cancer.

With more than 200 participants expected to run, jog and walk through the streets of Norway and by Norway Lake, the 2017 Turkey Trot 4 Hope is the beginning of an annual event. 

Pricing is family-friendly and there is a discount for those who register before Tuesday, Oct. 31. Run or walk four miles or participate in the one-mile Gobble Wobble through town.

The Cancer Resource Center is located at 199 Main St. in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic building. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday and Friday.
