LONDON, Ontario – Elias Bourisk, 94, formerly of Lewiston, died on Monday, March 21, in London, Ontario.

He was born in Ayeeta El-Fookyah, Lebanon, son of the late Mike and Mary (Emary) Bourisk, and emigrated to the United States in 1937. He later lived in Lewiston for 61 years, before moving to London, Ontario in 1998.

He co-owned and operated B & M Appliance Store, owned The Terminal Barber Shop and operated a chicken business that supplied chickens to a nearby poultry company, all located in Lewiston. He also owned and operated, with his wife, George Ross’ Ice Cream Parlor. He retired in 1996 following over 60 years of work in Lewiston, the majority of which was in the barbering profession.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Julie (Aziz) Bourisk; a sister, Katherine Bourisk of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sisters, Jenny Bourisk and Annie Peters; and his brothers, George Bourisk Sr., John, Nelson, Elias and Spirydon Bourisk.
