LEWISTON – Yvette M. Poussard, 90, of 37 Tampa St., died Sunday, March 6, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion after a short illness.

She was born at Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada, Aug. 24, 1914, the daughter of Ludger and Alexandra Boucher Couture. She was educated in local schools and was married to Robert A. Poussard, May 28, 1938, and he predeceased her June 28, 1999.

She was employed at Knapp Shoe Co. prior to her retirement, and was a member of Holy Family Parish, Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality, Cercle d’Youville, Horizon 55, Covenant 50 and Association Canados-Americaine. She was a woman of strong faith, and enjoyed playing cards and reading.

She is survived by a daughter, Louise Roy and her husband, Fernand, of Lewiston; a son, the Rev. Bertrand R. Poussard of Waterville; two grandsons, James Roy and his wife, Marlene, and Larry Roy and his wife, Diana; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Samantha, and Cassandra; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters and six brothers.
