AUBURN – Sylvio Fisher, 80, passed away peacefully Feb. 28, at home with his family by his side.

He was born in Guerette, on Jan. 30, 1925, the son of the late Huband and Yvonne (Dion) Fisher. He was educated in Guerette Schools and lived most of his life as a resident of the Auburn community.

On April 26, 1955, he married his loving wife, Nathlie “Freda” Ouellette. He was employed by the Auburn Highway Department for many years and in his free time he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He attended Sacred Heart Church in Auburn.

He leaves his wife, Nathlie “Freda” Fisher of Auburn; a son, Mark and his wife, Peggy Fisher, of Greene; two grandchildren, Stephanie Fisher and Mathew Fisher; two stepgrandchildren, Bianca Proctor and Jonathan Proctor; three sisters, Alexina Rossignol, Lorina Violette, and Rita Herbert; and two brothers, Joseph Fisher and Lorendo Fisher.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Viola Maheux and Sylvia Bouchard.
